Focus on the verb, not the noun. The doing part is what’s going to get you there.
I just finished a 3-month-long project. Well, almost finished. Even Da Vinci said the Mona Lisa was never truly complete. 😉
Here is what I’ve learned. All advice is autobiographical. Young Kabir, if you are reading this…
Ditch the yearly resolutions. Think 6 weeks instead.
- Set 2-3 achievable goals for the next 6 weeks. Shorter goals = more wins!
- Plan your weeks roughly. You don’t need every detail figured out, just a general direction.
- Track your progress daily. Jot down what you accomplished each day.
- Remember your “why”. Every step, no matter how small, gets you closer to your dream.
- Just do it! Planning is important, whether it’s 6 weeks, 3 weeks, or even just for the day. Find what works for you and take action.
