1) The Episode
Problem: What is the first step of creating a 10/10 product?
Fundoo Fundaaz is a solo podcast where I share my ongoing journey of art and business. For this one, I’d like to talk about
a) Creating a 10/10 Product
b) Capability
If you look closely, both of these are interlinked, meaning you can’t create a 10′ product unless you have the capability. But what is capability?
Well, capability simply means that you possess the skills or the set of skills required to create a product that stands out.
For example, let’s say you are an illustrator. You created illustrations, posted them everywhere, and you started getting likes. And then you created more of these kinds of illustrations that attract views and engagement. Untill you… burnout. Exactly. That is, my friend, what I call ‘The Social Media Trap. ‘
So, your work is good, maybe. But what you might lack is direction. You thought your work would sell, but when people see it, they are not ready to pay money for it. As simple as that. But no problem; at least you did the first step correctly, which is to get eyeballs, by posting stuff. Regularly.
But why did I say you might lack direction? Maybe if you asked people what they wanted, they might say, “You’re illustrations are cute; I’d love to have that design printed on my T-shirt” or “Hey, I would like to learn how you draw like that.”
Now you have a direction; you know what people want; now you just need to take action and start delivering. If you have the skillset, of course. If you don’t, then acquire it first.
Summary: To create a 10/10 product/service, you need a set of skills (become capable) and deliver them in such a way that your audience goes, “I want that! (takes money out of their pockets).”
That is the most natural and raw way in which I could clarify this to myself.
